Are Dynasty Threads more popular during that sport's season?

I am new to OS and have found myself truly enjoying the dynasty forums! Following along with their storylines is incredibly interesting and has helped me survive the off season from my two favorite sports, football and basketball.

However, I am wondering if current members have figured out if a dynasty thread is more popular during the season of the sport that it is about. For example, now that football season is upon us, will threads about football be more popular than a dynasty thread about basketball?

I am going to be starting up a basketball dynasty soon so I am curious as to if my thread will be active from the start or if it will pick up more as it gets closer to hoops season.

From what I can tell most people that do the Dynasty Threads do them until they are either tired or completed all the years available (if they can make it that far before the new games come out). All in all I believe it depends on your audience.
